This policy explains what information Exam321 ("we", "us") handles when you use exam321.com, and what we do with it. It covers the website only. Mobile apps linked from exam pages are separate products with their own store listings and policies.
The short version
- You can practice without an account. Your quiz answers are graded in your browser and are not stored on our servers.
- We only receive personal details when you choose to send them, through the contact form or a question report.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.
- We do not sell personal information.
Information you give us
Contact form. When you send a message we receive your email address, your message, and your name if you provide it. We use these to reply to you.
Question reports. When you report a question we receive your description of the problem, the question it refers to, and your email address if you choose to add one. We use these to review and correct our content.
Messages and reports are delivered to our support inbox through a third-party message delivery service. They are not stored in the website's database.
Information collected automatically
Analytics. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you arrived at the site. Google processes this information on our behalf. You can opt out with Google's opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider records technical details of each request, such as IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
Information stored in your browser
The site saves a few preferences in your browser's local storage: your light or dark theme, your quiz text size, and whether keyboard shortcuts are enabled. These stay on your device and are not sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.
Accounts
Exam321 does not currently offer user accounts. If accounts are introduced, this policy will be updated before they are made available to describe what is stored.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site:
- Google (analytics)
- Fly.io (website hosting)
- Our message delivery provider (contact form and question reports)
We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Messages and reports are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of corrections. Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. To make a request, use the contact form. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update this page and the date below.
